Nero Fiddled. Rome Burned. What Did You Do Today?

Did you know that everything you do influences everything else you do?

We are definitely creatures of habit. Example: if your habit is to turn on the TV every night when you get home from work, then what does THAT influence? Just to start, you might safely say:

  • the communication between you and others in your family
  • your mental activity and alertness
  • your outlook on life
  • the time you have available for personal growth
  • your ability to advance in your chosen career

Again, everything you do influences everything else you do. So you have the choice of lots of actions that can have long-term effects, either positive or negative.

Any habit can help you get farther ahead every day … or it can push you farther down. That’s why it’s so important to make choices that help you achieve your dreams.

It’s the old “slight edge” theory. Because the clock of your life is always running, the slight edge is always working 100% of the time. If you don’t strategize to make it work in your favor, then it will definitely work against you. The old saying goes, “Nero fiddled while Rome burned.” Definitely a guy who didn’t understand the slight edge.

Aren’t you glad you’re not Nero?
