Leaders Create Results- The 5 Levels Of Leadership

Think about it, you are in a leadership business! Everything rises and falls on leadership, doesn't it? At least that is what my mentor taught me. True leadership is when we can sit back in complete satisfaction and look at how many people we have helped. Leadership is making a difference in the lives of those individuals who have been placed in our path for a divine purpose. Leaders create results and I believe that we (like-minded people) are all striving to become leadership developing factories, right? Think about it, everything is based off of leadership, every area of our life. I am moving my way up the 5 levels of leadership and I want to take you with me on this journey. It feels so good when you can be a part of pushing someone up, after all our business is PEOPLE! Michael Dlouhy says it best, he says to "study people!"

Leaders never stop learning! It isn't happening. A leader is totally devoted to continuous growth in all areas of their life. Leaders clearly understand that in order to make more you must become more. This brings us to the first level of leadership.
1. Learn- It is my responsibility to my family to "own my life" and make our dream a reality, down to every fine detail. This means we will study successful people and take interest in how they accomplished their victories, learning from those who have done it. Readers are leaders and always will be. There is a strong thirst for constant growth that becomes stronger and stronger as we continue to educate and feed ourselves accurate information. Leaders learn through experience. This brings us to the next level.
2. Performance- This is the next stage in leadership. Performance gives you competence. Think about a baby. That determined child is born into this world with not one drop of fear in them. That tiny child will develop a burning desire to roll over for the first time or take that first step. What an inspiration to see little children fall down and get back up over and over, it could be a thousand times later and that child will not give up until it reaches Victory. The burning persistence in that child to achieve that goal is unstoppable. What it comes down to is we have to "Do", to know "How," right? Action must be taken and we must show that we are competent to be a leader by "doing."
3. Lead- Now you become the conductor of the orchestra. We have shown we are skilled by taking action and showing that we are capable of leading and have reached an increased level of influence. You have demonstrated your character and others are looking up to you for direction. This is when we can take them by the hand and teach them what we have learned, thus far on this journey to "Owning Our Life ." This works best when there is a proven duplicatable system to point them to. Without a proven duplicatable system, "we are toast," as Michael Dlouhy says.
4. Develop Leaders- Leadership is all about replacing myself. That is the ultimate goal isn't it? To build up others to a level where they are developing leaders and leading the choir. A level 4 leader is often barely known by many; their team is receiving the credit and getting All the glory! This leader cares more about helping his leaders get results than getting any recognition. This can be a dangerous place if we don't pay close attention. Some people will get comfortable at this point. It’s a subtle thing; a person may think that they have learned the skills necessary to retain that leadership role. Don't fall into that rut. Know that there is always someone else to help. Always! This is when we go back and find people who are ready to progress through their levels of leadership and we begin at that starting level with them and proceed toward their goal. There will be many people working at different levels of leadership. All playing together, unified and working toward their own unique, compelling vision. The best part is the vision is big enough for all of them now. We have to lay out that vision and it needs to be big enough for others to be a part of. The leadership journey is by far well worth it!! It’s who we become through the process.
5. Developing Leaders Who Develop Leaders- This is the ultimate place of excitement! This is when we are changing the world. This is when men and women of integrity will assemble their army who will live and stand on truth. Very few get there but it should be the vision for each and every one of us here.
