Do What You Love and Do It Often

I started the new year with the book on 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastination and Get More Done in Less Time, called, Eat That Frog, by Brian Tracy. Then I fought my old programming that didn’t want to give up, roll over and play dead. Maybe it was just teasing me into thinking I had conquered procrastination, but was just ‘playing possum.’ Nonetheless, I found myself in a battle for which voice of reasoning I was going to listen to!

I believe in everyone else, but when it comes to ME, I don’t have faith the size of a speck of dust.

I listened to a good friend and mentor of mine who said he would believe in me until I believed in myself and he had some great advice, “Keep the Positive Emotions in the forefront of your mind at all times and stop all negative emotions from entering.”

Positive Emotions
1. Desire
2. Faith
3. Love
4. Se
x
5. Enthusiasm
6. Romance

7. hope

8. Prosperity

Negative Emotions
1. Fear
2. Jealousy
3. Hatred
4. Revenge
5. Greed
6. Superstition
7. Anger
8. Lack

Find a ‘Perfect Day’ experience that you have had and go there in your mind to help you block out the negative influence around you that you can not walk away from.

He used the word picture of someone being sick, coughing or throwing up on you. You would not
allow them to continue but would put something between them and yourself.

You can put something between them and yourself by going to your ‘Perfect Day’ in your mind.
Then just smile and enjoy the memory without the ‘puke’ of negativity getting you down.

So, as we enter this uncharted territory of 2011, think about these words from another mentor of mine...

THIS IS YOUR LIFE.
Do what you LOVE and do it OFTEN.
If you don’t like something, CHANGE IT.
If you don’t like your job, QUIT.
If you don’t have enough time, QUIT WATCHING TV.
If you are looking for the love of your life, STOP.
They will be waiting for you when you START DOING THINGS YOU LOVE.
STOP OVER ANALYZING. LIFE IS SIMPLE.
All emotions are beautiful.
When you eat, APPRECIATE EVERY LAST BITE.
Open your MIND, ARMS, and HEART to New Things and People,
We are united in our DIFFERENCES.
Ask the NEXT PERSON you see what their PASSION is,
and SHARE your INSPIRING DREAM with them.
TRAVEL OFTEN; getting lost will help you FIND YOURSELF.
Some OPPORTUNITIES only come once, SEIZE THEM.
Life is about the PEOPLE you meet and the things you CREATE WITH THEM.
So go out and START CREATING.
LIVE YOUR DREAM AND WEAR YOUR PASSION.
LIFE IS SHORT.

You Cannot Eat the Elephant all in One Setting

With the holiday season upon us, it is a great time reflect on the past year and move forward with goals for the new year. Of course, you cannot ‘eat the elephant’ all in one setting, so plan goals for a smaller period of time first and put together over the whole year, it will be worth it!

Most people do best with 90 day runs or goals for a three month (quarter of the year) period. Set your goals for 90 days and the readjust and set them for the next 90 days until.... it never has to stop until you do. Each 90 day run will encourage the next 90 days and build on the last 90 days.

Remember, not to use excuses to slow you down. Life is going to happen in 2011, just like it did in 2010. This year has held it’s trials and blessings for many people including me. I often used life happenings as an excuse until someone asked me, “Is this your business or a hobby?”

Why is it that we treat a home based business like a hobby and not with the priority and commitment that a business should hold for us? (You have to answer that one for yourself.)

Does your business take precedence over the laundry, dishes, housecleaning, etc? I don’t mean that these things are not to be done when it is time to do them, just work them into your business schedule! not the other way around.

Here is a list that will get you started thinking about what You Need to be Successful in Your Business in 2011:

1. You MUST BELIEVE that YOU DESERVE SUCCESS.
2. You MUST BE CONFIDENT that FULFILLING YOUR PURPOSE in life
WILL CREATE SUCCESS.
3. You MUST HAVE A MASTERMIND of like-minded people, a TEAM of SUCCESSFUL
MENTORS.
4. You MUST USE the Product, RECOMMEND the Product and SPONSOR Partners.
5. You MUST remain FOCUSED on the DAILY TASKS that build, even the menial, repetitive,
Slight Edge, tasks that are Easy to Do and Easy Not to Do!
6. You MUST be READY to RECEIVE SUCCESS.
7. You MUST have CLARITY - What DO YOU Want? What is YOUR WHY?
The list could go on and it does...

Be sure to spend TIME on YOURSELF - Develop your mind and purpose first,
then you will BE ABLE to LEAD others become Successful, also.

I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and The BEST EVER NEW YEAR!

Your Passion in Life Will Build Your Business

“Ninety percent of new businesses fail the first year.

And 90% of the rest fail in the next 4 years.

THAT is tough.

You’re excited. You start. A thousand things go wrong.
You want to quit a thousand times.

Most people just quit.

You need a strong enough reason to do it.
Then if WHAT you’re doing doesn’t work,
You’ll figure out some other way. But if
You’re at all wishy-washy, you’re a goner.”

This quote from Michael Dlouhy’s book, Success in 10 Steps,
explains why we need to find and fulfill our passion in life.
That passion in your life will create a successful business.

So, why are you here (on earth, I mean)?

What do you enjoy doing so much that you can’t wait to get started in the morning?

God placed man on the earth initially to have fellowship with Him.
It was a joy for Adam, Eve, and God to walk and talk together in
‘the cool of the day’. We should have fellowship with our Creator.

We need to know what our purpose in life is. It will fulfill us so that we are overjoyed to work at accomplishing our purpose every day.

I don’t mean like the movie that shows someone who’s whole live
builds to a climax of doing a great humanitarian deed and then
passes on, though that may happen.

I am talking about day to day, burning, passionate, desires or dreams that become a reality because you pursue them with clear focus and purpose. Then you will be successful in your life, your business, etc.

First of all, you have to know WHAT you want. What is YOUR dream, your PURPOSE, YOUR PASSION IN LIFE?

Most people have been ‘programmed’ to think that once you reach adulthood, you are not supposed to dream anymore. (Not in the daytime, anyway)

WHY NOT?

Do you want to be STUCK in your 9-5, J-O-B from now until you retire without enough retirement to live comfortably?

Take responsibility of your life and actions and achieve your dreams.

Dream, and DREAM BIG, the BIGGER, the Better!

In the book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill says,
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

In the weeks to come, I will be sharing the steps that many
successful entrepreneurs have taken.

Then you, too, will be able to....

Find YOUR PASSION IN LIFE and BUILD YOUR BUSINESS.

How To Get Professionals To Understand and Join Your Business by Art Jonak

If a surgeon decides to quit operating, the money stops.

If a dishwasher decides not to wash dishes, the money stops.

If an attorney decides to stop suing people, the money stops.

If an IRS agent decides to stop auditing people, the money stops.

In almost every profession, when the person stops working, the money stops. But not network marketing!

In network marketing, it's different. In the beginning, you do a lot of groundwork and foundation building, and you don't make a lot of money. If you were being paid hourly, you could complain that you were underpaid or getting less than minimum wage.

However, most network marketing leaders look at this building period as a learning period. It's like going to school. But, instead of paying tuition, you can earn some money while you learn.

Once you complete the groundwork and foundation, the money formula changes drastically. Now, you are getting paid bonuses every month, even if you don't work hard or when you take a vacation.

So, in the beginning you do a lot of work that you don't get paid for, but in the end you get a lot of pay for when you don't work.

That's why professionals want to get into network marketing. They like the residual income and the financial security it brings.

On a sad note, there are some individuals who get into network marketing and build a foundation. But because they didn't feel they earned enough money during this learning and building stage of their career, they quit.

Yes, they quit just before they go into the collecting stage of their careers. I guess the rewards go to people with persistence and vision.

Spotting MLM Cutthroats

At the bottom of page 11 of Success In 10 Steps, you see a reference to "greed and ego." That gives you another good point to make with your prospect.

Prospects don't come into this process thinking about "greed & ego". But if they have experience in MLM, there's a good chance they've already run into the problem. It's worthwhile pointing out that the greed & ego of sponsors and/or companies is one of the reasons so many prospects are never successful in network marketing.

Let them know how important it is to have their radar up and operating sensitively.

This doesn't mean you search for some Pollyanna who lives their life only for others. Putting yourself first is the natural order.

What it does mean is that you MUST avoid sponsors whose goal is to be successful no matter who they have to step on. You want someone who is determined to be successful by creating those win-win relationships with others.

A lot of times, you can actually hear this in their voice and in what they say about the business and about others. One of these clowns once told me that 95% of all prospects were dead wood, and he just kicked them out of the way. Not only was he proud of it, but he thought anyone who didn't do that was a fool. What more could you possibly need to know about this guy?

So you've got to watch and listen and train yourself to spot "greed & ego" before you join a company where you are smack-dab in the middle of it. Your best bet is definitely to avoid it from the start. Once you are in a group dominated by the greed and/or ego of its leader(s), you are lost. It's a situation you must train yourself to see and walk away from.

To build your own big income in M-L-M, the people you sponsor will need a constant stream of hot pr0spects. I can help you do that for them, and for yourself. For details, contact me at 864-379-8156 or debbieengler@gmail.com

Greed And Ego Are The Kiss of Death In Network Marketing

Every time we have ever seen a company or downline explode and go away, it does so because of the same 2 reasons: GREED and EGO.

True leaders are the Mentors with the servant's heart. It's never about the money. No Money Focus = No Greed. Build people and people will build the business.

People are people. They are not a number. They have goals, dreams & desires. Network marketing is not a sales business. Network marketing is a teaching & mentoring business. So the track record & attitude of leadership is critical.

When you've joined a business and someone calls you, telling you to make a list of your friends & family, I can promise you that they do not have a system. "Friends & family" is what has been puked downline for the last 50 years, and that is the reason for such high failure rates in MLM.

It's Really All About Target Marketing

You've got to find people who will raise their hand, looking for you and/or your product, your service, your opportunity.

Too often, somebody calls you up, pitching you. They don't even know who you are. They don't care who you are. They don't care anything about you.

I've heard certain network marketing leaders say, "It's a relationship business." And many of these people have never built a relationship with anybody. Nobody on their team would want to go on a one-month cruise with them.

Some "Leaders" Don't Even Want To Be Around Their People At Convention!

Why? It's all about the greed & the ego. The fancy watch, fancy jewelry, fancy suit, exotic cars, being the superstar, all that stuff.

Do they ever help the person who's been squashed by life? Do they ever pay for the next guy going through the toll gate? Do they ever just freely give their time to mentor others, expecting nothing in return? Do they ever use their income to buy good tools for those in their group who are obviously trying to build?

No, they don't.

Instead, it's always about greed & ego, me, me, me. It's never about the other person.

You truly have to care about people. And then you won't have the greed and the ego. And THAT is the kind of person who can build huge in network marketing, because you will attract people just like you!

We Are Going to Have to Fire You

Imagine you’re at work one day, and your boss comes to you and says,

“Bad news, we’re going to have to fire you. Business is bad. And the economy stinks.”
You feel depressed. No more career. No more regular paychecks.

And then the boss says,
“You know what? If you were to work just one extra hour overtime every day for free, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, we’ll let you keep your job and you can continue collecting your same paycheck.”
Now, what would you do?

Well, most people would say,
“Well, I will work the extra hour of overtime just to keep my job. I know I will be working the extra hour for free, but it is important to keep my present job.”
And then the boss says,
“Well, I know it’s kind of bad news for you but there is some good news. If you work an hour of overtime, Monday through Friday for no pay, just one extra hour a day . . . at the end of two years, we’ll let you retire at full pay.”
All of a sudden, how do you feel?

You feel like saying,
“Wow! Excellent! What an opportunity! Just work one hour overtime for free, Monday through Friday, and two years from now . . . I retire at full pay!”
So what would happen?

You’re working overtime and six months later one of your friends says,
“Hey, why don’t you quit doing that? You’re working an hour overtime and not getting paid for it.”
You say to your friend,
“No way! I only have 18 more months to go and then I’m going to retire!”
A year from now, maybe your spouse says,
“You know what, dear? You’ve been working that free hour of overtime for the past 12 months. Why don’t you spend more time here at home instead of working that hour overtime?”
You say,
“No, no, no! Just one more year and I can retire at full pay.”
And you would be at work faithfully, Monday through Friday, working that overtime so you could retire.

And you would be excited about the opportunity.

Well, we have the same opportunity to retire with our network marketing business.

We ask people to spend one hour a day, Monday through Friday building a network marketing business. And all you have to do is talk to some people.

And you don’t have to worry too much about what you say or how good you are, because you know what? You’ll get better. The longer you do network marketing, the more you’ll learn.

So maybe after the first month you say,

“Gee, I really don’t know what to say.”

The second month you get a little better and say,

“Well, I know the name of the company is the Wonderful Company.”

The third month you get better at this and say,

“I think this is a neat business. You might want to look at it.”

And the fourth month you get better and better.

Just invest an hour a day. And at the end of two years you might be pleasantly surprised and say,

“You know what? I can replace my full-time income, and retire for the rest of my life.”

So – would you take advantage of that opportunity?

If you are like most people, you will want to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. But, you won’t do it.

Here is why you won’t do it.

A little voice inside of your head is saying,
“But what if it doesn’t work? What if I waste an hour a day over those two years? What if I’m not good at this? I don’t know anyone who has retired in network marketing. I only know people who retired with a pension from a job. This might not be a sure thing.”
Yes, you’re going to have some doubt. You will have a belief problem. And that’s pretty natural.

So here is what we are going to do to help you with your belief.

To encourage you along the way, every so often we’re going to send you a check in the mail — just to keep your spirits up as you build your two-year business.

When you get these occasional checks, you will say,

“I know it works! I’ve got these checks to prove it.”

And that is why you want to start your business today.
